Vera is a highly experienced physiotherapist with over 15 years of clinical practice across diverse healthcare settings. She has developed a strong focus on lymphoedema and cancer rehabilitation, working extensively in public hospitals and specialist services.
Currently, Vera serves as the lymphoedema therapist at Fiona Stanley Hospital, where she supports both general lymphoedema and breast cancer patients. Her previous roles include treating lymphoedema patients at Armadale Hospital and contributing to palliative care services at Kalamunda Hospital. Her career spans a wide range of environments, including international experience at Tan Tock Seng Hospital in Singapore, and local roles at Swan District Hospital, Kalamunda Hospital, private clinics, and community paediatrics.
Vera graduated from Curtin University and later earned her Master’s in Manual Therapy from the University of Western Australia, deepening her expertise in musculoskeletal conditions particularly neck-related issues. Her passion for lymphoedema care was sparked through her work in both outpatient and palliative care settings, leading her to complete advanced training with the Vodder Institute International. She is now an accredited lymphoedema practitioner with the Australasian Lymphology Association and has had the privilege of learning from renowned expert Professor Neil Piller.
Outside of work, Vera enjoys travelling and spending quality time with her beloved dog.
